Dr. Gordan Markic, DDS, FAGD, MISM

Dr. Gordan Markic received his DDS from the University of Zagreb, Croatia in 1984. Following his Canadian National Board Examination, he completed a dental internship at Toronto’s Sunnybrook Hospital. He was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1995 after completing a rigorous academic program and testing. In 2006, he completed his latest educational accomplishment, a Masters in Information Systems Management from Keller School of Management, DeVry University.

Dr. Markic also enjoys teaching others about dentistry. Dental lectures at provincial conventions and regional meetings, published articles in dental journals, and service on Ontario Dental Association committees round out his repertoire of educational activities. His professional interests and areas of expertise include crown and bridge restorations, implant restorations, and removable prosthetics.

Dr. Markic also enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and children. The family plays soccer and skis together, and Dr. Markic is a certified ski instructor and a soccer coach.

Dr. Susan Markic, DDS, FAGD

Few dentists display the level of scholarship exhibited by Dr. Susan Markic. Her academic accomplishments are diverse and impressive, and she has won many awards in her field. Most impressive is the U of T Bourassa Cup, awarded for exceptional all-around achievement in academics, community service, athletics, and extra-curricular activity. Upon graduation, Dr. Susan Markic was also inducted in the OKU Honour Dental Society.

After receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of Toronto in 1989, Dr. Markic spent 11 years as a part-time instructor of Oral Diagnosis and Oral Radiology. During that time, she also served as an emergency dentist for the Credit Valley Hospital and as a Director of the Halton-Peel Dental Association. In 2000, she received the Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Currently, Dr. Susan Markic is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee for the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. Professionally, Dr. Markic’s interests and areas of additional expertise include crown and bridge restorations, cosmetic dentistry, and implant restorations.

Dr. Markic’s artistry extends beyond cosmetic and restorative dentistry. While not at work, she enjoys crafting, maintaining a thriving garden, and cooking gourmet meals. She also spends time skiing with her family and cheering at her children’s soccer games.
